Crude oil transport
PERN S.A.’s infrastructure for crude oil transport consists of three main pipeline sections.
- The Eastern section of the Druzhba pipeline connects the Adamowo Tank Base, located on the border with Belarus, with the Oil Base in Miszewko Strzałkowskie near Płock. This section has an annual capacity of 50 million tonnes of crude oil.
- The western section of the Druzhba pipeline connects the Oil Base in Miszewko Strzałkowskie near Płock with the tank park located in Schwedt. Along this part of the pipeline system transport of oil to German refineries is effected: PCK Raffinerie GmbH Schwedt and TOTAL Raffinerie Mitteldeutschland GmbH in Spergau. The Western section of the Druzhba pipeline has a capacity of 27 million tonnes of crude oil per annum
- The Pomeranian pipeline connects the Manipulation Base in Gdańsk with the Oil Base in Miszewko Strzałkowskie near Płock. With this route PERN secures the transport of oil from the northern direction, i.e., from sea deliveries via the Port of Gdańsk (Naftoport). The Pomeranian section enables PERN’s customers to diversify both the source of supply (alternative/supplementary to land deliveries) and the grades of crude checked for processing at the refinery. The Pomeranian pipeline enables oil transport in two directions. On the Gdańsk-Płock route its capacity is about 30 million tonnes of crude oil per year, while in the opposite direction the pipeline has a capacity of about 27 million tonnes per year.
